Typical problems we see in young patients are vulvovaginitis (vaginal discharge, itching, and so forth), abnormal vaginal or uterine bleeding, victims of suspected child or adolescent sexual abuse, sexually transmitted diseases, congenital anomalies (birth abnormalities of the genital tract), painful periods, ovarian cysts or masses, endometriosis, genital injuries, and special needs patients with cycle control.
Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility
We care for patients who are trying to conceive and have experienced infertility or recurrent pregnancy loss. Although we do not provide the assisted reproductive technologies in vitro fertilitzation (IVF) or gamete intrafallopian transfer (GIFT), we provide most other medical and surgical evaluations and treatments related to fertility. For example, we offer basic and advanced infertility workups, ovulation induction with oral medication, such as clomiphene citrate, and injectable gonadotropins, reproductive surgery (operative laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, microtubal reanastomosis), and intrauterine inseminations. Dr. Stradtman performs many ultrasounds and all inseminations. However, as we are closing as of 09/30/2014, it would likely not be helpful to have new infertility patients enroll, as the evaluation and treatment can take several months or more.
Above all, we exist because of the grace of God. It is our prayer that regardless of life's circumstances, our patients and we can know the love and forgiveness and power of God through faith in Jesus Christ, the Great Physician and Wonderful Counselor. We believe in the God of the Bible and want to see Him glorified in our work. Therefore, we may not provide some services which we believe are in conflict with biblical principles. We believe that Christ is Redeemer, Healer, and Giver of life and can restore body, soul, and spirit, regardless of the pain and trials we experience in life. We hope that our patients and their families will receive excellent medical care, as well as will feel cared for and appreciated. We also welcome your comments and suggestions in hopes of providing the best care we can give.
